I’m looking for an efficient drop-in for a 4XAA P60. I was hoping to something with a single mode, long runtime and potted. Does such a drop-in exist?
What host are you using? What is the battery configuration in the host?
Its a solar force host with extensions to accept 4XAA batteries in series.
You would get 6vdc with 4AA in series
I believe most drivers that can stand full charged 18650 should be able to handle 6vdc

Xml2 runs great on 4aa because of the led requiring high forward voltage and high current and 4aa being higher than regular lithium ion
Do you have any 1 cell drop ins around already? The nominal voltage range for 4 aa’s will be approx 4-6v depending on the battery used. However, under load the voltage of the batteries will drop. Eneloops under a 2000ma load will drop to 1.2v from fresh off the charger at 1.4v.
I think if you find a drop in that will take 1 18650 or 2 CR123as (which are 3v each for a total of 6V), you’d be safe.
Probably cheaper options, but I would say this one is for sure safe
