Since yesterday I cannot connect to blf anymore on my home network. I tried it on 3 devices, different browser but none of them is able to connect anymore.
Right now I’m on my mobile connection.
Is my ip blocked or something? I can’t imagine I did something wrong but I don’t know what else could be the reason as I did not change my configuration.
Reset the modem…?
I mean, I have a Thompson with WiFi here, but sometimes it has no connection with the internet, yet my computer says I’m on line, because the WLAN connection is fine, but that’s where it apparently ends…
No, not yet. Therefor this topic. But it might be quicker to contact him directly. I just saw the contact admin button. Didn’t notice it until now :zipper_mouth_face:
I've had problems connecting to certain websites occasionally that were fixed by using an alternative DNS
Sometimes your ISP's DNS might block access to certain sites or blocks of IP's for various reasons - from technical glitches to political obligations/correctness.
Google's DNS works well anywhere in the world - adjust it in your computer or modem.
No worries. Glad to help.
I get this problem a lot so I tend to just leave command prompt open and every time a site doesn’t work I just press the up arrow key (which pulls up the last command that was entered) and then enter.
I’ve had this happen another time on some site I was only reading on, so no reason to get banned. But from one day to another I just couldn’t access the site anymore without a proxy. And after several months it worked as suddenly as it stopped working.
And back then I tried everything to get it working again, also a dns flush, even a factory reset of my network equipment.
So I assumed I was blocked or something. But I’m very happy it is working again. Checking BLF is a daily addiction 8)
