If this light is on your radar now is the time to get it. I have the Coleman version but this is a better deal at $17.99 with batteries and free shipping.

I have that light, got it from Sears for $20. It is a very nice "knock-around" thrower. Sometimes (especially on a cold night) a plastic-body feels better on the hands than an aluminum body does. It is a good light, I recommend one if you do not have it already.

How's the build quality? This is the same price as Coleman Bubba Max 6 AA.

Funny how members who live in Sweden or Canada don't ever mention chilly flashlights :)..

Can i use this light to beat the inch of ice off my car door or scrape my windows with it without scratching the glass ?

The fact that meritline is carrying this light isn't bolstering my confidence any either ..

Up here we use something called "gloves" or "mittens" when cold

Or live out west. On the three days a year it snows, we just stay home. :P

I think people down south use whining and complaining to keep themselves warm .

When your hand slicks to the flashlight like your tongue to a light post ...then some whimpering is appropriate . My nephew is climbing mt. whitney right now and is up 14,000feet it's -5 ..at 5 below ,your hand sticks to plastic too.:P
