is it SPAM?

Not spam at all. Its a great light. I'm a professional diver and bought two to save on shipping. Am selling the spare.

not exactly a budget light Smile

Well, it is similar to the D01 i reviewed a while ago but with XM-L instead of XP-G R5 emitter and a tad different head. The D01 is rated 100m. Pretty happy with the D01 one.

Please review the D06 if you have the will and time. :)

A non-diving version would cost around $40. There aren't any sub-$100 T6 100 meter waterproof diving torches on the market. The magicshine ones all flood or burn themselves out so I'm pretty happy with this find. I will have access to a pressure pot around August and will take it down well past 300' then.

If you dive, you'll want this light!

I agree, at least the D01 if really on the budget.

I'd love to see a review. Sadly this is out of my price range, but generally xtar makes some solid lights for the money.

This is not spam since this is in the "want to sell" part of the forum. Members don't always realize that this part of the forum exists because they only work off the BLF frontpage so please don't SPAM rate the seller.

Thanks to everybody surviving after WWII on it Spam is king here. Guam has the highest per capita consumption anywhere as can be seen here:

Personally Spam is too salty for me.

I'd love that light, but after my initial splurge the coffers are nearly bare.

Ron

and didn't rate it. i knew somebody would have a definitive answer.

LOL. Hey, you gotta take your shots, even when they go abeam...

I notice according to Xtar it's rated to 60m not 100m.

Pretty bright. I plan to take some photos tonight for the blog:

The factory says the 60m depth rating is old as the torch has an 'extra tough glass lens' equal to or better than the D01. Either way its deeper than I will be taking this torch. 40m yes... 60m not exactly. ;-) I will definately take it to 100m in a pressure pot in a month or two to see what happens.

For what its worth camera housings have much larger glass lenses (surface area) and are about half the thickness and they have no problem at depth.

I got one of the D01 for spearfishing, it’s perfect!!!

Welcome aboard, Lark!

 The D06 now comes with a new lanyard.

What aboiut shorting problems when flashligt is dinged or grazed?

Post about that (on scubaboard forum) stopped me from buying it…

SOme memebers here (especially gcbryan who apparently dives every other day) wo-uldnt aggree with that.
Hi uses Magicshine, if im not mistaken, whole time.

Where did you find info that Magicshines flood and burn out?

The D01 is also apparently rated at 100m, and can be got on sale, new, from Torch Direct UK for £20.

This is the second time I’ve recommended Torch Direct tonight, think I should get out more.

edit>> actually, apologies to OP, it’s probably bad form going off thread in a sales post. Sorry.

Its out of stock man… (D01)

And D06 is around 101$ on chinaqualitygoods, includinhg shipping, when discount is deducted (automatic 3% discount for more than 100$ purchase and anything you have on top of that),
