LED that produces UVA and/or UVB light/radiation?

My searching isn’t leading to anything of great value, so I thought I’d ask around.

Does anyone know where I could get such led’s? I’d like to get them to make lighting for a terrarium that shall contain frogs, and the frogs would like to have some UVA/UVB light.

High power UV leds are costly, no great value. How much UV do they like? Have you looked at whats available on mouser & digikey? 365nm - 405nm is available.

Wouldn’t purpose-built light be a much better solution for something like this? I imagine the demand already exists for someone to have built a decent product.

Probably stick with an Exo Terra Halogen bulb.

Yes this is the obvious answer. But I will be using leds for all the other lighting, and computer fans for circulation… Which means it’s currently all 5v DC, and can be run off one of those arduino boards from thecustomgeek.Com.

Maybe a 5v relay that ignites the Exo Terra Halogen bulb.

As long as 365-405nm UVB is enough for the frogs then you could do LED. Just need to know how much UV is good, how much will be harmful.
