Anyone Familiar With This High Power UniqueFire UF-1401?

Anyone know anything about this flashlight? It looks almost like a clone of a Nitecore TM26 including having a LED readout though a bit longer and heavier. Looks interesting for under $70. I have a weakness for stubby beer can format lights and have Terminators and the TM26 plus a no name 4 banger from Focalprice on the way in addition to the standard round format lights.

It certainly looks interesting. I haven’t seen it before. That bezel is freakin’ massive.

That thing looks heavy

Best price found on the web is $59.77 for the no handle one. Same listing indicates 15% off of that if bought on the 19th when it will be on sale. That drops the price to $50.80 by my calculation.

downlinx;

Agreed, it is heavy compared to even the Supfire M6 which weighs 440 grams while this is listed as 520 grams for the 1401 version without a handle. That is almost 3 ounces more than the M6. However if it is actually any where close to the claimed output and has decent thermal conductivity from the LED shelf then the added mass can add to the time before it overheats.

Has anyone bought this light already? The bezel looks like can possibly block some amount of light though.

If it has decent driving current and heatsinking I think it is a good buy.

Interesting light. Hope someone can purchase it and give us some feedback on it.
Fast Tech UniqueFire

Very tempted at the price, particularly as the light is described in the link from post #4 as having thermostatic controlled step down to prevent overheating. If true then it should maintain brightness if used in an environment that provides adequate cooling. So far as I know a unusual inclusion in a high power light in this price range. Below is the cut and pasted features list. The digital display sounds like fun too.

Features

*CREE XM-L2 LED – High intensity and more than 4000 Lumens.

The torch features a unique thermostatic circuit to regulate temperature and prevent overheating

  • 4*18650 Li-ion rechargeable batteries for longer runtime
  • Made up of aluminum alloy material, the casing of the flashlight is very firm and durable. After anodize oxidizing, it avoids sleeking and rubbing to make it more comfortable in your hand
*With the O-ring seal waterproof design, it deals with a nasty wild environment easily

With digital display shows lighting modes and the battery capacity

I think it looks nice for the price, but I would doubt its output until verified.

In this group isn’t that a given? After all this is a budget Chinese light from a Chinese seller so that pretty much is understood. It is a rare Chinese light listing that comes close to accurately listing OTF lumens output unless the manufacturer is one of the well known brands whose own documentation clearly specifies the ANSI test results.

I went ahead and ordered the UniqueFire UF-1401 handleless version yesterday so hopefully I will have it in a couple of weeks. A quite interesting light that most closely resembles the TM-26 in some respects. Be interesting to compare them.

I’m keeping an eye on this one. UniqueFire has a very large line of flashlights for just about any use. I really like their multi-color R-G-W-light too, just don’t have a use for it.

As for the UF-1401, I believe it’s rated at 6 amps with cells in parallel, so it should have a similar output of the first generation Skyray King, so it should be pretty good. If heat sinking is proper, I may grab one myself.

Received the UF-1401 today.

Very cool output compared to the TM26 and not as bright. I judge it about 2000 to 2500 Lumens maximum rather than the claimed 3500 that FastTech lists. No real surprise there is it? Comes on in High after a 1.5 second switch depression. LED display indicates H for high then displays a battery charge level number from 9 to ? after about a 3 second display of output level. Medium is shown as “E” in the display and low as “L”. The head is about the same size as the TM26 but the reflectors are smaller diameter and fairly deep. A fairly large center spot with pretty minimal spill around it compared to the TM26 or Niteye Eye40.

SOS and Strobe are hidden. A double fast switch press from High gives SOS or strobe, alternately it seems like. Single press to go back to high.
Double switch press from medium or low acts the same way . Single press goes back to prior state the light was in from SOS or strobe. It seems strange that there does not seem to be a way to always go to strobe. From any of the three steady levels a 1 second switch depression turns the light off but the next on is always in High so no memory except for return from SOS or strobe.

Overall an interesting light and with the hidden strobe and SOS they can be easily ignored. To get to them the switch double depression has to be quite fast. Any hesitation at all has the light just switching output levels.

There is lockout and the finish is a matte black anodizing. Clean machining and finish overall. Length is about 1/2” longer than the TM26. Not a tactical use light IMO due to not having a sure access to the strobe mode but fine for normal mortals.

hi It seems identical to the lens

Ordered 1 from Gearbest, paid a cople of dollars less, BUT it is still not here, I like the 4 cell setup in these lights and this one looks so interesting, I could not resist
Your AE link is cheaper then gearbest, but I have no idea how securitying is with using LatticeBright.
