HP-20LED

120volts/50watts
The High Powered-20LED is a direct replacement (standard screw-in), 50 Watt pool lamp with a lifespan of +60,000 hours. It emits a perfect overhead daylight color (same as the sun). The HP-20LED is the perfect light for larger sized swimming pools and is presently being used in commercial applications to replace 500watt lights.
This light is our newest and brightest yet, built with a solid cast heat sink and custom hi-flow vent design allowing for the internal/ high velocity/ brushles cooling
fan to dissipate heat faster- ensuring greater longevity than any other SMD LED pool light on the market!
Compared to a 500w standard bulb
The HP-20LED lasts 20x longer and uses 90% less energy!
The lamp measures approximately 5“ x 4 5/8” (diameter) which allows it to be used within
any standard light fixture.
Backed by 3 year warranty!

Has anyone had/have any experience putting these types of bulbs into a sealed containment under water? Specifically half-life of the leds.

Of course their “reviews” are all positive and i have been unable to find any real world reviews.

120v, really? I thought pool lights and the like were < 36v etc?

Don’t get thrown off by the word “pool” in the title. It states that it is an overhead light, and that it has a fan to keep it cool. It will probably only work in a regular overhead fixture, not inside the water.

Here in the States pre '90s they would run 120v underground directly to the pool. This particular pool was placed back in '76 and the line terminates 20cm from the water and only one seal separates the water from high voltage.

We like danger.

Thanks Dave!

I saw the mention of the fan and that is my concern. The fixture that this would go in in approximately 8” deep. That would leave a significant air gap allowing circulation, but would the glass lens transmit enough of that to the water to keep things cool?

I just now clicked through the link in the OP for this bulb. The price is not justified in my opinion.
