Hi folks,
Picked up another 26650 flashlight this week. I wasn’t able to find any reviews on this one, so I thought I’d post on it.
I really like a lot of things Warsun did with this light and here’s a few highlights:
- Cree XM-L2
- Anodized threads to lock-out the tail cap
- Mode Memory
- Reflector is 39.28mm deep, and 48.58mm wide
- Lens is 47.8mm diameter, and 1.72mm thick.
- Modes are L-M-H-strobe-SOS. Holding mode switch down
actives a higher level or Super brightness, but it’s NOT. High power is 1.45 amps and
the so-called, super high is 1.55 amps. Believe me, you can’t see such a small power increase.
Specs taken directly from Banggood’s website.

Package included:
1 x WARSUN M70L Cree XM-L2 LED Flashlight
1 x O-ring
1 x Straps
1 x Stainless steel hammer
The light has lots of double O-rings, but I’ve removed all the outer ones. They are not
necessary and make assembling the light or tail cap much easier with only one.
I didn’t want the 3 cell version, so this 1x and 2x version for me is much better.
If I’m going to carry a 3x 26650 cell light, I’d just grab one of my super powerful
lights. Once in a while, it’s nice to carry a shorter and light weight flashlight.
A shot of the XM-L2 with the centering ring removed. Warsun did a great job
assembling this light, excellent soldering, and a proper amount of heat sink paste.
I wasn’t able to remove the driver, but it was held in place with a nicely machined brass
retaining ring. Just a nice shot of the +B spring.
Due to the side switch, the tail spring just snaps in.
I borrowed this photo from a retailer. It’s assumed this is the exact driver and side
switches inside the Warsun M70L, and perhaps other similar lights this company makes.
For some reason, my light didn’t arrive from Banggood with the “Glass breaker” tail cap.
Good thing too, because I don’t like flashlights that can’t tail-stand, so it would have been
removed anyway. But the threaded hole is vacant on the tailcap, but it doesn’t penetrate all
the way through the tailcap.
Photo borrowed from Banggood. Simply shows the switch functions. Personally,
I would have preferred the switches spaced apart a bit more, but it’s still fine as it is.
The actual On/Off switch and Mode switches do not light up, only the battery indicator does momentarily.
Another borrowed photo from Banggood. Shows the function of the battery power meter.
Press and release the power button the flashlight turns on and the battery indicator illuminates
for about 2 seconds, showing current charge of the cells and then turns off. During flashlight use,
any quick press of the power switch illuminates the battery indicator. A quick 1/4 second press and the
flashlight will turn off.
Mostly dismantled. Can be used with 1x 26650 or 2x 26650.
The bezel has some slightly sharp edges here and there, but otherwise construction is really
excellent on this light.
26650 cells the light was tested with. Trustfire 5000mAh protected cells (real ones), KeepPower 26650 5200mAh protected cells,
MNKE IMR4200mAh cells, and EnerPower 4500mAh protected cells. All worked perfectly and no fitment issues.
Warsun M370L. Just a standard beam shot on Highest level about 90 feet.
Small Sun ZY-T16 - I thought this would have been a good comparison beam shot to the Warsun,
but the Warsun sort of spanked the Small Sun.
