Drivers - Help please

Hello fellas and fella-esses,

plenty of torches in the cupboard and now I am starting to take a closer look at what I have got. I have been running the multi-meter over them [tail caps] and have been noticing that a lot of my torches seem to be running a bit light on the draw side.

This has me thinking about trying some driver upgrades and will be sticking with the 17mm versions at the moment. I am wanting to upgrade some Q3/5's, R2 and XM-L [I am not even sure if what dies they are xr-e's etc].

Can anyone direct me to some good drivers. I have found these at kaidomain, but any advice/direction will be welcome.

For the Q3's/5's/R2's

For XM-L's

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I have to start somewhere.

I'd probably go for 1A on Q3 and Q5 and 1.4A on R5

You can find many 1A driver (also on DX) but if you need 1.4A driver the one from KD is the best option.

For the XML i have both driver.

The one with 8x7135 is really good. 2,8A at tailcap and possibility to mod to have 3 mode without strobe.

The other one is good but has some PWM flickering on MID and LOW.

I can suggest some drivers if you say what is the input voltage (1,5 or 3,7) and how many modes you want.

Thanks guys,

yeah I forgot to mention that I will be running a single lithium in those torches, so 3.7-4.2v.

So if the driver is trying to get to 2.8amps does that make your cells the limiiting part of the chain? I am running mainly 18650 TF Flames, will they be fine with those drivers?
