I didn’t buy one. I need to spend as little as possible until BF/I buy a car. But, if it goes on sale, it looks like it has potential.
It looks to be the same size as the old 650lm 3D Defiant from Der Hause Despot, battery config is likely 3s3p, so that 1000 lumen claim is not sustained. One would have to buy one to check but the increased price might mean better quality than the Defiant 3/4D 3-up’s currently for sale. Certainly looks better. It’s also a momentary side switch, FWIW.
That is a sweet looking light. Too high priced for my taste too. It's been at a high price for some time now.
Looks like it has the same battery configuration as the Coast HP550 that was available a couple of years back. But I prefer the older the Coast HP550 with its more compact design and single XM-L rather than 3xXP-G. In any case, I never cared for lights having THIS many batteries. It’s just too hard to recharge them all, especially since it uses one more cell than the biggest chargers.
It's even too long to do (2) 26650's without cutting it down. I saw this too and wouldn't touch it at that price.
