Does anyone have a Xiaomi USB LED light?

This thing is bright! The tint is more of warm white. The light is a very nice, smooth and even flood of light! There’s no ‘hotspot’ and for lighting things around everything looks great.

Using it with a powerbank, I can have just enough illumination for the whole room if I do a ceiling bounce! Realised that the light is brighter when powered from a powerbank than from my laptop USB port. I wonder how many lumens it produces.

It draws 0.25A when I tested it with a ChargerDoctor.

My own usage with the smallest Anker powerbank. Nice and handy!

Interesting...

I think a couple of these with a power bank and USB splitter might be useful for macro photos... Flood beam from two different angles should help illuminate and eliminate shadows.

Nice light. Is the stem flexible so the head can be turned 90 degrees from the usb plug?

Yes but only down. Can the head be turned 90 degrees to the usb plug itself?

I received one last week.
I’m very satisfied with it, nice light to have.
I also received XTAR UL1 usb light, similar to Xiaomi, but with more options and with flexible metal hose/extender.

The bending portion is quite flexible, and can be bent up and down. It can be turned slightly sideways but not exactly 90 degrees.

Not sure how to check fake or not fake. But the one I have seems real; at least it lights up! and the quality feels rather good.

I bought an “original Xiaomi” from Aliexpress. No “MI” marking as in advert and no ON/OFF switch?

mine is genuine from dx.. has retail xiaomi package.. mi logo over the plastic part of the usb and no switch of course

it has something electronic control inside..

if you plug it to a usb port it lights up… then if you disconnect it and connect again IT WILL NOT power on.. you must unplug and plug again to switch it on.. thats the normal behviour on genuine ones

Actually I meant that you can either plug it to work or unplug it and it is off, no power level (light intensity) adjustment like with those small noname usb lights with touch sensitive back…

Bought another light from Banggood and this turns out to be genuine. Brighter, better tint and on/off works as it should and as Sirius9 says.

Any suggestions for using these? I have this disorder, when something is good quality and heavily discounted, I usualy end buying it too many. So I bought 10 of these at 1,09 a piece (verified originals). Although I still think the mini LINK for 1.1$ + flexible usb extension for 1.88$: LINK is more usable and worth the price difference over xiaomi.

So I finally received these lights, nice quality and bright. I removed diffuser from one and now its really crazy bright for 1,2W – almost unbelievable for such a small power consumption. Can anyone identify brand of these six LED? Any easy mod to get even more brightness out of them?
