Howdy, up for sale is my 6x Sky Ray King with 8 sanyo batteries. The emitters are XM-L2’s they have been de-domed for a nicer tint and double the throw. The driver is a BLF DD programed for Ramping. It ramps up from low to high and stops anyplace in-between. It also has memory, so turn it back on and it will be where it was before. The side switch was replaced with a larger switch so it’s easier to find in the dark. It comes with 8 sanyo 18650’s 2,600mAh batteries. Nice having an extra set for the light. It’s a black light, not the gold one. These are the batteries.
Click is off, hold does the ramping up or down. It’s a quick ramp but not so fast that you can’t stop it where you want. So the memory brings it back to the place that you turned it off and then you hold the button to turn it up or down. It’s one of the nicest UI’s that I have, super easy and fast to use too. I’m putting this in on almost all my momentary drivers now.
My card reader is messed up right now. But it’s just a “horn” switch. Black with a green button on top. It sticks up about a half an inch. Nice feeling click to it as well. Much better switch than the stock one.
This is the switch only the top on this one is green.
im actually quite surprised this light hasn’t gotten much interest, or even sold yet.
its one hecka of a deal .
the ui is great, and having the new bigger sideswitch is a plus, and 8 free cells is fantastic.
im even tempted to buy this light, but i already have several of these built by him already haha
Heck I’ll bite, since I’m probably one of the few here who doesn’t have a SRK yet. I have to ask however, is there a way to lock out the switch? I haven’t paid attention to most of the SRK threads, but is it just a tailcap lockout? With the new protruding switch and massive heat I’m sure the light would generate, I don’t want to risk any accidents. I might even prefer the original switch unless it’s more prone to accidental activation or failure.
Just unscrew the body from the head it a little bit and it won’t fire. This is actually a good idea even if you are just leaving it sitting around. There is some battery drain with these if you leave them screwed on all the way. I didn’t do the spring mod for this reason. With the spring mod you have to unscrew it further and with it the way it is, it’s just a quick little twist and it’s locked out and won’t fire. Plus it doesn’t need any more amps with the driver I put in. It’s already going to be maxing out the emitters. Also just so you know this one has the good pill in it, not like many of them with a shelf for a pill. This one screws in and I added thermal grease to the threads as well as new great grease under the emitters.
