To be honest, I love this store. The wall of lights is truly awe inspiring!

I don’t care for this store. Their prices are high even after discount and they deduct the cost of shipping for returns even when it’s their fault.

Nearly everything is applicable…including MAP products, which are the same price everywhere. They also undercut some other stores frequently. In general, though, I agree their prices average high.

I can’t speak about the veracity of this, but, if what you say is true, that’s justification for a chargeback. I’ve never had to return anything to GG.

Yeah, they sent me a light that was heavily scratched. It was sent to me with free shipping. I told them it appeared to be used and I wanted a light that was in new condition. They said that it was new, but I was free to return it. I paid to ship it back to them and the value that they refunded me had the original shipping price deducted… I know they are a genuine USA seller and I would probably still buy from them if they had a good deal, but their customer service is absolutely nothing to write home about.

That’s something I’d expect from a discount dealer, not one with premium pricing.

I understand GG has been screwed over by a lot of crooks (NOT accusing you of being one!!), so they’re probably not giving much leeway in a case like this (CPF has an infamous thread - the guy forked them out of several lights shamelessly). However, unless you’ve done several returns before, both for good customer service and legal reasons, original shipping should have been refunded. A product advertised as “new” must be new and unused, or it’s fraud (a “policy” you cite above does not apply in such a case). Perhaps the assumption was that you were lying about it? (again, NOT accusing you of actually doing so). A scratched unit could easily have been unnoticed manufacturing flaws.

Was a replacement offered? If so, did you decline it?
