Are there any xp-l or xm-l2 1 or 2 mode single AAA lights?
Have you looked at the BLF 348? Unless you really need or want the xpl or xml2, you might look at this light.
It is a nice AAA light, got mine today. Has the Nichia 219, which is also a good quality emitter.
Also takes li ion.
You could always reflow a xpl into a lumintop tool
This light rocks, superb in every way save that it doesn’t have a keychain attachment hole.

Thrunite has a few that are close to your specs. I bought a Thrunite Ti - 1xAAA, XP-L, 3-mode twisty. The beam is quite nice, floodier than most 1xAAA sized lights, but lots of output. The threads are kinda sloppy though, so using it isn’t really a great experience.
search for “ball mill” here, for how to drill the hole.
This year’s model of the light has more metal around the button, so more space to drill a hole.
One person got one light pre-drilled, that’s the lottery at work.
I’ve got to get my workshop set up first Hank. That project has had to take a back seat to so many other things that it’s depressing as it’s over a year behind schedule but I think it will happen when the winter cold hits and keeps me inside- pretty soon if the forecast is right. I’m wondering if I can’t do the same with a drill press vise holding things steady? Going to find out one of these days!
