Hi all have had these little led driving lights on the bike for a while, wondering if they are worth modding or not
And what could be done at present they draw .7of a amp and supposedly have 1000lumen
the bike victory vegas have hid in high beam

finally the optic 10deg I think
so are they worth it or should I start over.just wanting to pick up the kangaroos earlier.

Probably not even T6 , so swopping to XM-L2 U3/U4 or XPL V5/V6 should get you up to 30% lumens boost at the same current.Dedoming should almost double throw.The R120 resistor at the top may,or may not be a current sense resistor,maybe someone else knows.No need for copper star below 3 amps,especially in airflow.It’s a start 
I’ve never reflowed a led before perhaps if I get a pair of xpl hi stars and power with these
Since there is a 12V power source I think you can do an XPH70 with a current limiting resistor and a suitable reflector or optic.
Bring the lights down if you like and we'll have a go at replacing the leds. It'll either work or not work.

I have heard of one where the cast metal broke at the mount, so people are reinforcing that bit with JBweld or equivalent.
I have this (reflector) version but haven’t been able to get the bezel off yet :

Wich i am going to have a play with and some optics.
ended up with this 70 w osram has a tight beam and have splayed the smaller 10w light to the side ,also have bow put hid in hi and low beams,hope I don’t get flashed to much

I added some diffusers from fasttech which make the “cree” spotlights amazing daytime running lights.
No condom jokes !

Wish I was heading your way for a holiday but dont see it happening this year. I wont let you forget you offered me a ride. Maybe you could come down on it for the MotoGP later this year? 
Yes, the headlight is on all the time, these are auxiliary lights.
The triple is going great, it’s all farkled up for touring.
A trip to the island for the MotoGP sounds good.
I know a few local blokes are planning to ride down in October.
