We’re a US based dealer of many brands and are on the search for GB reps. Since I’m kind of unfamiliar with how the arrangements work you’ll have to message me with your details and propositions. No more dealing with returns to China, I speak english (decently well), and I don’t bite I promise
I can’t imagine anyone expects a manufacturer to provide a warranty on a modded device. I think what mattlward is thinking about is the various problems challenges that have come up with custom group buys / builds. See the ongoing A6 and X5/X6 threads for examples.
I’m thinking he probably means more “mainstream” groupbuys like the ones freeme and M4D M4X sometimes work on, not the BLF edition stuff like the A6 and X6 Cu/SS
Calvin, I guess I should not type on my phone and in a hurry. It sounds like I was misunderstood! When I think of a group buy light, I think of our totally custom projects. When I think of a negotiated good deal on a stock light, I think of it as just that. I mistakenly assumed you were referring to the first, not the second.
My statement was a gut reaction, it to me seemed that you were offering the first, then you would either be a manufacturer or a middle man. It would be great if you were a manufacturer in the States and were interested in producing lights that are not CPF priced. If you were offering to be a middle man, for custom over seas production I am not sure it would help.
I really wish we could, but USPS shipping costs are ridiculous to Europe.
Done.
Zebralight is probably not happening due to extremely poor profit margins and dealer discounts.

Hi Matt, I’ve looked at the numbers and possibilities of USA manufacturing. It’s just not possible to compete in pricing, especially not at lower volumes. Right now we’re in early prototyping stages for a overseas manufactured light and it’s already not that cheap.
