Czech, please!

I ordered a couple of flashlights from China.

That's not too peculiar...

I'm in the United States.

Nothing strange about that.

Here's the tracking info:

What the heck?!

You mean what the Czech !

Strange for sure. But the last 2 letters on your tracking number are CZ. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

I had a package go to Sweden from China before it landed in Chicago. From the time I ordered it, to the time it made it in my mailbox was almost 9 weeks. But it made it

That’s insane! BTW Robert, I love your avatar. Dr. Strangelove is one of my favorite movies

I had the same thing happen, except after it got to Chicago someone decided it could not be delivered to me in NM and it was returned to China. Fasttech then refunded the money.

I’ve seen two (soon to be three) orders for batteries from gearbest shipped via NL Post routed through Amsterdam. May be a similar situation.

Czech the barcode.
Maybe a bad read.
Not much difference between CN (China) and CZ (Czech Republic)

Yeah, in my situation the vendor is GearBest, too.

(But as long as I get the order sooner or later, and everything works, I'm not complaining.)

A friend of mine in LA California ordered an item from San Diego. He watched the USPS tracking as the package traveled to LA, then to Honolulu Hawaii, back to LA, then up to Sacramento, then San Francisco, back to Sacramento, then back to LA where it was finally delivered. He guesstimated that package traveled over 4000 miles to go 120 miles. Normally a package from SD to LA is overnight, with first class mail.

Reminds me of an ebay purchase that made an unexpected detour to Oklahoma during its trip from Minnesota to Ohio - after getting to Cleveland the first time.

It’s a crapshoot shipping anything overseas. I sent a box with 2 tshirts from Ohio to Singapore last December. Cheapest shipping was $25 USPS. Two weeks ago my wife sends me a text with a pic attached of a beat up returned box sitting on our front porch. If that box could only talk…

I’ve been lucky. I’ve ordered from every major company on this site and have had zero issues over the past few years. Longest time was 2 months. Shortest and most mindblowing was 1 week from GearBest.

Hang in there raccoon city…at least it’s travelling west.

Oh sigh, order and forget!
There was this topic of a reputable BLFer who was banned by Simon, a reputable seller, because instead of order and forgetting did check the tracking and saw the parcel being delivered in another country.
He started a dispute, got a refund and 5 days later the parcel arrived. He paid Simon back but now is banned, so please everybody ORDER FORGET and after month check it the soonest. so muh better for your happiness

Let me Czech that…

this is from Aliexpress. I’m from Sri lanka. but destination showing Italy.

However, today I received the order

During the ‘cold war’ a member of a Czech Ice Skating team visiting in the US slipped away and went to the US State department seeking political asylum, where she asked “Do you cache Czech’s here?”

LiIon cells and packages containing them sometimes take a torturous route because of shipping restrictions. Trans-shipment through Sweden to US is pretty common.
