New L2

Same finish as the L2T , and the L2T head looks sweet on the new L2 ...

Very well machined .

Body is shorter now [ about time ] , as the original L2 was a little on the too long side ...

If ever there was a time to get on the L2 bandwagon ?   now might be the time .

I just swapped tailcaps - L2T to L2 and if you want a forward clicky on your L2 or a reverse clicky on your L2T

Well what can I say, LEGO city .

I need another L2 like I need another hole in my head , but having just got my hands on the new L2 , I just might need to buy another [ did I say needs = I meant WANT ]

Sorry -  New L2 comes with Reverse Clicky ...  L2T comes with Forward Clicky ...

If you have both bodies , then you can configure [ LEGO ] to personal taste ..

Cool looking this new one. It's really great that it matches L2T's finish.

I want it! I sense yet another secret purchase. I think I'm running out of excuses to tell my wife. Oh well i guess I'll tell her the one that works all the time.. " Honey,I ordered it 2 months ago. It's not my fault it takes 2 months to be delivered  from china". Wife, " OK well this better be the last one."  " It is honey, but i think there are a few more packages that haven't arrived";). Wife, " OK then ...go  watch the kids." End Smile

Prefer ?     the new L2 over the L2T , wow , hmmmmm .

Not really sure I do , I think you need to have both !

I really like the L2T , but now I also like the new L2 , and with the L2T head , it just looks smoooooth !

And more inviting to ride in the pocket [ wont rip or tear or catch ]

Maybe it should be the L2t

Bu then Ive always liked all the L2's

I like the L2P L2X L2i L2 L2T L2micro L2s and now the L2t

I always liked the L2 , and my only gripe in the beginning was the lack of longer batteries [ due to the tube length ]

Now that they have shortened it [ body tube ] its even better ...

+ I only have 1 of the new L2  , I have 3 of the L2T , 2 x L2P , 2 x L2i , and Im not sure how many L2  , so ?  I should at least have 2 [ minimum ]

Well thats my reasoning

Thanks again for good pics old!

A strong guess: this will be my next P60 host.

But holding horses for now: DQG must be purchased also AND I´m on very strict budget now, less fun&toys, more house payments etc.

for the price of take out , id rather go hungry and have a new L2 ....

Food , or a new flashlight , hmmmmm!

If mem serves my end of year d'd'd'diet started Monday , so ill take a new L2

My stomach was growling yesterday , had a little lie down after school , and the cat had missed me and needed to lie on top of me , so the cat was purring and my stomach was growling ,........ it was quite funny ....

So ill just ease up on other luxuries like food .....

I have only seen the L2T in pictures on Solarforce's website and Old's review sticky, so I admit to not having seen one in person, but I prefer the looks of the L2 over the L2T.  I do like the L2T Head on the L2 (thanks, Old, for demonstrating how well they go together), they do look natural, now that the L2 has the matte finish.  Too bad SF does not sell the bare L2T head so that you can just purchase that to turn the L2 into the "L2t" or "L2.5t". Smile

Just my $0.02.

What was the final verdict on the l2t tail as far as current? I thought I read it didn't handle the higher current that well. I still haven't jumped in the SF yet (other than the 2aa I gave to my Dad). I have 2 6p's, but don't have enough drop-in's (or funds) to support many more hosts. Now I have to decide between a L2, L2P, & L2T... Thought my mind was set on a gray L2p until they sold out again.

I did swap switches between my L2T and new L2 ...

Wanted to see what the L2T was like with a reverse clicky - and actually - I could like it ..

Though Id rather buy the entire L2 than just a clicky ... [ which I will ]

Back at school so limited time available ...

Though I did light box it with the switch and no loss in output [ low current L2T with L2 switch ]

Probably worth getting the L2P w/drop-in already assembled since you get the drop-in for $6.00. Even if you don't prefer SF LED's it can still be used in another host for the low cost of $6.00. Also, the new L2P host is priced about $6.00 more than the old model was last priced at, which is what the L2T is currently being sold for. You also get a more expensive forward clicky on the cheaper L2T. So is the HAIII anodizing worth the $8.00 difference (considering tail switch difference)? That would mean we're also trending upwards in price.

EDIT: I was looking at the regular L2. It had me fooled because it looked like the L2P from those pics. Sorry for the misdirection Smile

Just a quickie question:

For occasional "Cigar-hold" use, what clicky to get with this? Got PP ready and L2 in shopping cart!

S8, S9?  S11?!

S8 it is... Not sure how I would like the looks of black matte mixed with SS crown on switch.

Besides, S9 is more $$$ than the whole body...

I like the look of the knurling and the finish. I imagine it would look stellar with a non-crenelated bezel. And I would need a recessed button that allows it to tailstand. Otherwise looks like a decent choice.

Good news everyone... your prayers have been heard. Wink The new L2-TS (tailstand + 3 amp switch) is here. Together with that new black bezel , or the classic stainless steel bezel this light might be, what you are looking for in a P60 host.

Is that tailcap similar to what L2P has?

(sold L2P, did not like the 1st ver. recessed button at all Flat Stare  )

Here's the new L2P tailcap which I'm pretty sure is the same one they're offering as an option. It has a smaller boot than the original for easier operation. I'll be using it on my new L2

If it's the same as the new one I have, it's a reverse clicky.
