I.O.S Hank has a good deal on MT-G2's

I was shopping at Hanks and saw that he has the MT-G2’s on 16 and 20mm Noctigon on sale for half price, normally $18.52 on sale for $9.90
I think that’s a very good price but haven’t been shopping for them lately and just happened upon them so thought I’d say something.
Thanks
Gary

Thanks Gary for letting us know you found a good deal!
Keep it up!

Thank you for your kind words and encouragement, only a old timer would realize I must be feeling kind of lousy for even mentioning this.
Next time I hope to find something that fellow members will actually find useful… like maybe half price D cell batteries, I would have deleted this if I could have, as always.
I do believe though, after I thought about it a bit that the MT-G2 has now probably falling out of favor for more efficient LED’s, hence Hank dropping the price by half because they aren’t selling,
It only takes me a day or two to figure things out I guess ha ha… Thank you again for your kindness, it means a lot to me…

Definitely keep posting deals, but probably the reason you didn’t get a lot of replies is because this isn’t the first time Hank has had this sale. There was a long thread about it previously. People are definitely interested.

Oh, well that sure explains it, thanks PD, I obviously didn’t know that and really thought I had discovered an amazing deal & even checked the price at RMM’s… amazing deal for me anyhow I guess… ha ha,
Bought six to try and dedome and only expect to have two that work after I screw up the others. Thanks again for the explanation PD …!!

Thanks for the heads up, I still have a couple of MT-G2s from the first $9.90 sale…

Good to see Hank’s old stock go down, last year he still had 400+ MT-G2s emitters in various MCPCBs. The tint is great but I’m not a fan of the artifacts in the beam when used with SMO reflector, and now that we have the XHP series which are far more efficient I don’t think to be using these anymore.

It’s always better to alert if you think you found a good deal. Someone may post a better deal in response, but that isn’t a bad thing. They may not have posted the response had an aleart been posted in the first place. So most of us appreciate the effort.

I’m still a big fan of the MT-G2. The XHP’s may be more efficient, but I love the tint and evenness of the beam pattern more. A little lumen loss for that is worth it to me.

You all are just the best, thanks so much, I promise next year I won’t make the same mistake ha ha…

He’s had that same sale going on those emitters for more than two years, where’s everyone been? :person_facepalming: lol!

Shame no 4000k MT-G2’s. These seem hard to get now, or at least not pre mounted on a Noctigon… :frowning:
