Olight X7 Video Review with comparisons to the Meteor.

I posted this on Youtube a few days ago, but I figured some of you may not be subscribed to my channel. I have big beamshot section with the X7, Convoy L6, Nitecore TM16GT, Noctigon Meteor, Olight R50 Seeker, and the Acebeam K70. I test outputs, all runtimes but nightlight, and more. This was provided by GoingGear.com for review.

Very good job, nice flashlight and nice dog. :+1:

Another great review , and really nice the beamshots & comparison .

Thanks

Thanks for the very thorough and convincing review.

This is the first big lumen light that I really want (but don’t want to pay for, even though 200 dollar is a good price). But if it appears that an emitter swap to a warmer tint is doable, I just may cease to resist this one!

I remember for sure that someone received his light from olight official store without glued bezel . Check “what you got today” thread .

Hmm, thanks, I will look into that. (edit:sentence removed because of forum rules) A cruel forum this is! :frowning:

We were dog sitting for a few days. Thanks!

Thanks!

An emitter swap would make this light even more awesome.

I’m subscribed and very much enjoyed this video! More lights less knives!!!

one of your best reviews in my opinion …… and I agree GREAT DOG!

If I didn’t have a job, I’d probably do more lights. They take so much longer and require a lot of testing and put additional wear and tear on my cameras (the runtimes). I’ve got some olights, and some Nitecores coming up. And maybe the new MT07 HaikeLite.

That’s Pongo. He is a friends dog, and luckily he got along with the baby. Thanks!

Nice comparison and major leap of lumen number. The number one challenge still is to keep the highest output as long as possible.
I don’t see any advantage of having expensive light with claim like 7000-9000 lumen but only stay for 1-2 minutes, afterward step down to 3000 lumen range. Better to have 3000-4000 lumen light but can stay long there.
That 1-2 minutes may has no optimal functionality during real world usage such as search & rescue, or cave & thick forest exploring?

The bezel on mine came off easy. Nothing on the threads. The only bother was they ran the button wires through and over the MCPCB to the button. I put some 80+ CRI 5000K emitters in mine. Much nicer now.

Another awesome review man! Keep them coming! Also very witty, as are most of your reviews! This is the #1 light on my want list, but I just cant justify ponying up the dough for it. I’m gonna wait for the budget version of something like this (think Convoy L6, but with 3-4 emitters!) before I jump on board!
Either way, this thing is extremely impressive, and I love how Olight doesn’t bullshit its customers one bit! The runtime claims on the back of the box are spot on!
