I just got my KD C8 a few days ago. I ordered the 3-mode smooth reflector. I got a 3 mode OP reflector. The third mode is more of a slow blink than a strobe. I find it more annoying that a strobe cause you instantly know when you accidentally hit strobe with this you think it's high for a second before it starts blinking. I also kind of like strobe, hate sos though. Less of a disappointment was it didn't come with a gitd clickie and came with etching. I was looking forward to having a blank flashlight. I heard about the lack of etching and gitd clickie from another thread so not exactly KD's fault. Going through a paypal dispute right now. Last thing KD did was ask for a video. So I sent one.
Here ya go.. and yeah, that's a really slow strobe.
it looks like a sad strobe or a illiterate SOS...

That's the Ultrafire c8 which is basically the same thing though the smo reflector is better
This one is tricky. Especially if you wanted an unbranded body. Normally an SMO reflector and a new driver would have been the easiest solution for both you and KD but that doesn't seem ideal here.

Ok. KD said the video isn't working even though I sent it through email then gave them a link to it on youtube. They want me to mail the C8 back to them so they can "replace or repair" it. I told them I cannot send it back at my own expense. Even if they do pay for shipping. I'm afraid they will say they never received it. Or just make me wait 2 months and send me the wrong one again. When KD told me to send it back they said not to use a tracking number.(WTF) Any suggestions?
Tell them we are going to have KD boycott on BLF until problem is solved :D
