- Custom 30mm x 30mm x 2mm VirEnce cathode direct thermal path copper MCPCB for use with those NV4×144Ax
I know it’s a too big, too plain, expensive, and thick CDTP MCPCB. Meant for my photo light project, had to fill the minimum order. But, it will fit various optics by simple milling, cutting, drilling, tapping, and some creativity of course. Please note to never drill on the anode copper strip. Use thermal pad with 3W/M.K or higher to make it electrically insulated from the base/heatsink. Or solder it on any copper base for superior heatsinking

- Djozz 16mm custom copper MCPCB Very simple and straightforward application. Perform MUCH better than common aluminum 16mm MCPCB. The dielectric used is excellent Click here for Test Details

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Ra 9050 means minimum CRI is 90 (typical 93) points, with deep red minimum of 50 points. In Nichia case, the 9050 already 10-20% more expensive (depends on LED types). For those don’t really familiar with CCT binning steps, I screen captured Nichia chromaticity diagram to give you the idea.

LED manufacturers still don’t have full control over the production variations in colour consistency. You can buy for example 5000K LED but ended having 4500K to 5500K variations in a single reel. Or 5000K with pinkish or greenish colour. So they usually use 3, 5, and 7 MacAdams steps to group the LED CCT manufactured. The smaller the number the tighter the CCT adheres to the standardized baselines.

- 3 steps inward is the highly prized LEDs, normally 20-30% more expensive than 5 steps. The choice for single emitter premium light engines (track lights, single emitter flashlights, medical equipment, high end store display lighting, wall wash lights, etc…)

- 5 steps is where most normal production fall into, if they use good control over phosphor mixing technique. This is usually the baseline for LED pricing.

- 7 steps LEDs are the preferred choice for most non colour consistent critical products, because you can always mix and match several CCT to get the average CCTvalue. The price also 20-30% lower compared to 5 steps. For example street lights, photography LED clusters, multi emitters flashlights, etc…

- Beyond 7 steps oval, the products considered to be off the specs too much. Reputable manufacturers usually destroy or recycle them but, some “leaked” or sold as extremely cheap funny coloured LEDs. For example you can find many cool white LED with melon flavours (very greenish white) in Ebay at amazingly ultra low price. But lately, researchers have found greenish cool white is actually very beneficial for grow lights.

clemence was so kind to arrange that some of his leds will be sold via me and TA to save on shipping costs from his country. In this post I will maintain a list of requests from the EU and around for leds sold by me. A timeline: we will collect requests up to the 27th, a day or so later clemence will send the leds to me (and TA). When they arrive here, I will resend the leds further to the people on the list (after payment to me by Paypal)

Edit: I can send any 144A led reflowed on my custom Nichia119 board, good for up to 4A, the boards are $2 apiece.

Updated up to post #248 please report any mistakes that I made in this list.

Ok, I will maintain a list of all those in the USA group buy in this post so as to keep things more organized with 3 separate GB’s going on with the same products.

I will be receiving the LED’s from Clemence and then re-packaging them and shipping them out to those all over the USA to save on shipping costs.

USA shipping costs are $2.80 for first class mail with tracking number.

Shipping to Canada and Mexico shipping is $2.80 WITHOUT TRACKING or ~$9.50 with tracking best I can figure based on the USPS website, yeah it is silly.

I can reflow the 219C LED’s onto DTP copper stars for $2.50 each including the Star.

:+1:

This is very cool! I just swapped the XP-L HI on my Jetbeam JET-II Pro with the 3000K 219C and I’m liking it more and more every day.

I’ll complete the listing with pictures, details and pricing later. Still working now

+1 time zone

Shouldn’t these be sm303 to denote the 3 step?

Sorry, that was typo. I woke up, jump off the bed, and made the post. We’re GMT 0, +1, and +8 people working together.
Will fix it tonight

so clemence…what country do you live now?

Bali, Indonesia

What a such coincident, nice island and i’m indonesian too…but i live in java .
When everything is set i’ll definitely order from you
Btw, are you also the member from kaskus flashlight forum?

Can i reserve NVSL219C 4000K, Ra9050, D240 flux, sm305 ?

I want 4 - 12 pieces based on price

Yes, I think it is night where clemence is but he will be posting the full GB details later today. I will say that it is a heck of a price on the nicest 219c’s we have had access to yet! I plan on converting basically all my “normal” lights to them around the house. Leaving only the lumen and throw monsters with other options.

Can’t wait to get one in my EDC S2+.

Yup, but not much to talk there. I even forgot I was there if you didn’t mention it

Guys, just got home from a long boring neighbourhood meeting, common in Indonesia

Thanks TA .
So , clemence count me in for 10-12 pcs for sure

Yeah…and i’m planning to switch all my lights to 219c’s as well also, but leaving my modded Convoy C8 MT-G2, its still my favourite light to everyday all around use

Do these 144As have the Spiegelei problem the one djozz tested did? If not, I want some, and I don’t even have a host for them yet.

I put 5000K R8000 D280s in my Jetbeam T6 and lost an estimated 100 lumens, but gained about 200m FL1 throw over the original XP-Ls. It does get hot faster, but 219Cs can serve well in a role like this.

I got four of the 4000K R9050s in the mail a couple days ago. So far, I put one in a Convoy S3 along with a TIR. It’s nice, but my preference would be 5000K.

I’m pretty sure they do. But I just today found out that the Nitecore TM03 uses a type of two tier reflector that will very effectively hide it.
