I was about to pull the trigger for the H1 Nova , now this!
I re-read the description, this includes a customized 16340 cell “Only included 16340 can be recharged internally” is this typical with O-light rechargeable flashlights?
If that is the case then I might as well go for the H1 Nova non-rechargeable, that offers more flexibility in the cells I can use.
How is Olight still in business with those kinds of prices?
Inverse economic utility theory. The more expensive it is, the more desirable it is, irrespective of measurable, tangible benefits. The “Invisible Hand” isn’t perfect because we’re nowhere close to being rational actors.
Having said all that - given the cost of the regular H1 Nova, Olight’s build quality, and QC, I say it’s really not all that expensive for what you’re getting. I just bought a H1 Nova off a forum member here and I don’t regret it one bit. The built-in charging is worth the $15 premium to a lot of folks.
Don’t like it. It’s just like the X7: Here’s the X7!!! Couple of weeks later: Here’s the X7 neutral white!!!
