Not Impressed with LitoKala 202

I plan to give away some of my 18650 lights with batteries. The folks I will give them to will not have the batteries or chargers. Accordingly I purchased a couple of LitoKala 101’s and a Lii-202. I thought I would see how the 202 would do recharging my Kindle. What I experienced was that the 202 would deplete one battery and shut off so the Kindle would not be fully charged until I removed the depleted battery, and reinserted the full battery.

I also find that both models have trouble with button top batteries.

I had considered getting a 500, but see no good reason to do so. I like my IntelliCharger i4, and i don’t need the information the 500 would provide. I only want to charge the batteries and it does a good job.

I see no good reason to get the LitoKala 500. I do have a couple of battery packs that do the recharging job well.

Did you read the review? Review of Charger LiitoKala Lii-202
It’s a charger, a decent one. Not a powerbank.

[Conclusion

This charger is good at LiIon and fairly good at NiMH and the possibility to select multiple LiIon voltage makes it very versatile.

The power bank function is not very good, it uses an old coding and cannot deliver full current with a partial discharged battery, in addition to this the noise is very bad.

I.e. it is a good charger, but do not buy it for the power bank function.]

Thanks, flydiver. I had not read that review. I got it as a charger, but wondered how it would be as a power bank. Now I know.
Thanks, again,
Jerry

If you do a lot of research you’ll find lots of dedicated powerbanks are pretty lame. I’ve tossed 3-4 trials and have a couple others that are way under spec, cut out abruptly, or are touchy about what they will charge. This cheap Chinese stuff is……well, cheap, but certainly not perfect.

I have a Soshine 3 battery bank on order. It is just something to play with. I also have a couple of single battery chargers. Not too bad if space is a problem. I do not expect any of them to be the equal of my Xiaoni 10,000 mAh or my RavPower chargers, but it keeps me from boredom.
