Today I learned... [Convoy C8]

… this trick:

The coin pocket of a pair of jeans is just the right size to hold a C8  The head isn’t in the pocket so it doesn’t make the fabric bulge or stretch, the size of the head makes it easy to pull out, and the body is just the right size to fit in snugly but not tightly. Sure, you can feel it there (especially if you’re on the chubby side, hah!), but it sure as heck beats out all alternatives save for a dedicated holster.

How’s that for this model being “non-pocketable”, eh?

ha nice find!
(It is designed as wath pocket if I am not mistaken)

Don’t sit down or you’ll end up with and angled C8 :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks, I try

And you’re correct, that pocket was meant to hold a pocket watch, but then aviators kicked that unwieldy stuff right to the curb by showing the practical value of a wristwatch, and pocket watches fell by the wayside. Nowadays it’s used to hold all kinds of trinkets, from coin change to flash drives to just being a support for a clipped-on knife or flashlight.

I’m sitting right now with it there, was in need of a reliable and tough angle-head anyways  Nah, I’m not that fat. lol

Though I’ll say that it likely won’t feel very comfortable if you’re driving, at least outside of Britain and Japan.

I conceal carry a knife there usually.

Just tried it with my C8 and the jeans I'm wearing. The pocket in my jeans must not be as deep. It sticks out a bit too far :-(

Maybe in my other, "deep pockets" jeans ;-)

I did, too, until I got into a severe tug-of-war with my old chair and the clip on my Schrade Nitro got so incredibly bent out of shape, I had to snap it off and file the rest. The knife itself is too big and pokes my loin all the time if I shove it there, plus it’s really hard to draw it (impossible to do it fast), so I keep it in the bum pocket and train quick draw from there.
