This little thrower is very impressive to me with it's throw and laser like beam.
There was a thread with beamshots of the Deft EDC and 4 other lights including the LED Lenser P7 and some other very good lights AND the lowly Saik Sa9- which did quite well throwing the image of it's emitter a long way and staying bright and focused.
The Deft EDC won of course.
Question- could the Saik Sa9 be modded with another LED emitter, and possibly a glass lens for more brilliance and throw?
The Tank 007 TK736 in videos seems similar to Saik, maybe a little underdriven but has the advantage of a glass lens- is it possible to easily mod this light to get much improved performance closer (or exceeding ) to the DEFT ?
Even though useful- I like the LACK of spill from these lights and the kind of Laser Effect I get with visible beam from the Saik Sa9 which I have.
Even increasing the current draw on the Saik would make it more impressive- right?
Are the optics on the Tank 007 TK 736 much superior?- circuits are probably similar -they both use 3aaa or 18650- Tank has disadvantage of requiring lots of turns to get from Zoom to Flood.
Another option would be to have someone mod an LED lenser so it would run HOT off a 18650- they look like good lights but are expensive and run off regular batteries.
Might be worth it if it was a 18650 Lenser........
