Brass beauty mod advice needed

Has anyone had success modding a brass beauty? I’m trying Build alight as a gift for my brother, and I’m finding some challenges. I ordered a FET driver 17 mm and I Nichoa 4000 K 90+ CRI LED 219bt, but I broke the tail switch while I was removing it.

I need help with centering the LED with a spacer of some sort. The included spacer is the wrong size for my Nichia sized LED.

Also, I need a replacement tail switch. Any ideas where I can find one?

Lastly, what are the limits you have found with resistance on the brass beauty? looks to me like the tail switch might be the main area. Since I’m using one LED, I’m thinking a Samsung 30q might be the right fit for this light?

Any and all opinions welcome. I Really want to gift something nice here.

Thank you!!!

If the spacer does not fit perfectly like the Convoy ones I simply glued them with 2 component epoxy to the star
of course you can do with a way too large as well

switches with 16mm board can be bought at Simons shop or Kaidomain
if you need only the switch it depends which form and connections it has.

in simons shop you can ask him to ship only one and get 15% BLF discount and modify the price
just check out but message him and delay payment

I broke my switch too and replaced it with the second model that Lexel showed.
It fits just right and is far better than the stock one, however you have to glue it or find a way to fix it in the tail section…
How, you’ll also have to solder a contact plate with a spring.
I would not trust a FET driver in such a light host. Mine gets really hot with only 3A regulated and a triple Nichia 219C (less heat than a single emitter at a given current).
A turbo timer set to 30s MAX is neede IMHO

That driver will burn that led out…quick, fast, and in a hurry. You can use it with a triple 219b setup but not a single 219b.

Yep, I’d go with a lineair driver at max 3A. Given the minimal host and because it is a light to be given away.
