JETBeam E10R estimated values of lumens.

Jetbeam E10R
Here my estimated values with 14500 Klarus and NiMH Fujitsu:

Great!. Very closed with official values:

There are not problems with lengh of 14500 protected (hey! Manker!!… is easy make a compatible 100% 14500 protected light!! ;.)
All my 14500 are fine here:

Some Pics:

Great quality of Top brand in threads and anodized:

I will use this perhaps without clip:

Surprise, little magnet in the tail, It is not very strong, it will only hold the flashlight in a vertical position, but not in horizontal, by the weight of the flashlight with battery.

The charge for 14500 is ok, but not very useful for NiMH (only charge around 1/3 of capacity of battery NiMH), but for the rest and the price, is a good option.

start at 330 mA, in a few minutes down to 200mA, for 3 hours stable a 200 mA, then finish charge with NiMH.

Nice beam with a smooth reflector and well centered Led XP-L Hi:

With other great EDC:

So the NiMh only charged 1/3 of capacity, I only want the E10R for NiMh charging, there are many flashlights that charge li-ion but the E10R is the only 1xAA flashlight with a built in charger that was supposed to charge NiMh battery`s

I did notice on my E01R the AAA little brother of the E10R that Eneloop Pro AAA 930mah only charged to 1/3 33% of capacity when Eneloop AAA 800mah charged to 1/2 50% of capacity.

Thanks

John.

About tint and beam:

Hot spot well defined and I prefer this tint. Tint of Mk-I is to cold.

Thanks for confirming the charger does not work with NiMh.

I will definitely avoid this light. The failure to recharge NiMh, and the green tint are deal breakers for me.

The charger is not useful for NiMH; you are right.

The tint is green?…sorry, I do not see green tint here.

Is this the most compact 14500 rechargeable light? I think yes… One of the most low cost 14500 reliable rechargeable light for this battery….I think yes.

Congrats for your new iMac Retina….

I have 2 units (of E10R, not 2 iMacs….;-) and I can not see green tints….sorry.

I do not see really that this guy in the review talk about green tint….if you compare with a cold tint, this is more warm…

Photos might not give accurate color—but they do look a bit green-ish to me also.

E10R —on Gearbest , the dimensions are listed as 97 × 19 ?
That’s a bit longer and wider than my ideal pocket EDC.
( currently Acebeam M10- which is 94× 17)

ok, now we know you are color blind
do you really not see the green?:

> I do not see really that this guy in the review talk about green tint
if you really cant find the word green in the Feb 10, 2017 review by lynchknot, try a search for “green”

maybe we use the word green differently, I call the left beam green in the following photo of an Eagletac Nichia
do you not see green in this photo either?;

Sorry I take this pic with my camera 3.2 Mx Silly , perhaps is not prepared for the “retina of the iMacs”.
Seriously, if is a green tint for you, perfect for me. I test many lights, I only can comment of course about my 2 units E10R, I can not know tints of other units, but my E10 has not green tint. Wink

Regards.
Enjoy with the iMac

Lol…my glasses have AR coated lenses and a blue light filter so when I have them on, the picture looks pretty green but when i take them off it looks more neutral. There’s no need to fuss though, everyone perceives colors differently when it comes to led tint…everyone of us on this forum should know that Thumbs Up

fuss? should know?

the Eagletac and the Jetbeam both look green, on my iPhone too
maybe Apple products have better Green color rendering

do you not see that the ET looks Green too? Do you not see that the poppy pods look green too? hmmmm

Green is green, if you cant tell, well, I will remember to keep that in mind when you tell me something looks creamy white to you.. though it sounds like your glasses work fine… and you Do actually see the green..

For one thing fella…you need to lose your attitude…I did say it looked greenish to me with my glasses on. Apparently I need them to see correctly or I wouldn’t have them…right? Think about that! When I said that we all should know that we see tints differently…I was referring to flashlight fanatics liking different tints…I was in no way implying that it’s not green…I was merely stating how it looked with my glasses on and off. This thread is a flashlight review and I could tell people were taking pop shots at each other so I just stated what I saw to change the mood. However, you seem to be the aggressor here since you want to try to cause an issue over a comment that had absolutely nothing to do with you.

The light is quite long
Quite disappointed in the switch, not as comfortable as utorch ut01

My copy suffered the same issue. It sounded like someone winding a "cassette tape". If you are buying for the sake of Ni-MH, my advise is to pick another model. Light is perfectly fine for 14500 usage.

The camera used and it’s settings have as much, if not more, to do with the “apparent” transmitted tint than the monitor that renders the image to us.

That being said I own this flashlight and according to my 56.04 Human retina, it has a small amount of green tint but no where near Zebralight Puke Green.
My beefs with this Jetbeam are too wide of mode space between mid and high with the 14500, too small of a button and the whacky UI
On my copy, it does not want to turn on after inserting the 14500 until double tapped into strobe and then back out.

If you hold down the power switch for like 5 seconds it will go into a beacon as long as you continue to press. Then when released it is locked up mainly.
Only saw one review on this light and they did not cover this beacon deal.

If anyone can point us to the actual factory directions of the UI that would be great. All that is on most vendors sites are the cut and paste specs from Jetbeam.
Is it a decent flashlight, maybe. But would I buy it again? No.

The new Thorfire TS06 smokes this thing in output, but they are different lights, horses for courses and all that.
Later,
Keith

After nearly 12 hours play with it
There are something need to be done
A bigger and softer button(like the one in utorch ut01)
Better ni-mh charging(the advantage of this light, compare with other 14500 light)
Better clip(i feel uncomfortable when holding it
More solid host

There is a gap between head and body, and this gap is not for the clip
(I reverse the clip into this gap, and the light didnt work)
