Emitters on “thermoelectric separated” (DTP) boards at FastTech

https://www.fasttech.com/search?thermoelectric%20copper

Not much else to say besides the fact that the boards are also listed on their own, without any sort of thermoelectric separated/separation or DTP labels.

For those of you who don't have a clue about this stuff, this thermoelectric separated sheesh seems to be a sort of chinese way to mean direct thermal path. Related thread: 4x quad XP footprint copper DTP stars my dears! :-)

interesting. I wonder that that XHP50.2 4000K has for CRI? on those boards in that link? (Thinking that LED would be a good candidate for an upcoming larger lantern build i’m working on.

Ordered one, guess we’ll find out.

Well, it may be a good idea to ask FastTech. They do not seem to care much about providing faithful and detailed information about the emitters they stock up, which is a shame.

Don't bet on high-CRI, unlikely though possible. High CRI emitters tend to be lower binned.

^:)

P.S.: that 4000K, even if only a “B” (70+) CRI class emitter, more than likely it'll score on the high 70s.

I can say that the standalone 6V XHP70 MCPCB on fasttech I got recently is a DTP copper board, despite not being advertised as such. The linked boards appear to be as well based on the copper pours on the rest of the PCB.

I may order one too.

I remember a few months back when I saw the term, I goggled around and couldn’t find much on the term.

I might have to grab a few XP-G2s or -G3s to play with in a C8.

Might bite the XHP bullet, too.

Okay okay i am tight arse so i ordered a few emitter from Fasttech on the odd occasions lol.
XPG2 S3 1A is DTP
XPL-HI (300k tint) is DTP
XPL V5 1A is DTP
XPG3( not sure of binning got one because it was cheap) is DTP

That is all i have bought i think.

Hmm, just found that my 20mm Cu-star “non-dtp” XP-G3s are on the “thermoelectric blah blah” list.

I’m wondering if the conductivity test from center-pad to the star’s backside is a reliable indicator of whether/not actually dtp. Dunno if I can poke close enough to the chip to actually get a good reading at the center pad. Maybe tonight or whenever I’ll remember to give it a shot…

Be careful where your pocking lol I was cleaning an XPL-HI and the side crumbled first time its ever happen weird. It still works okay just looks weird now lol.

I think Fasttech is a lottery of bin and board types you never know what your really going to get.

FastLotto (LoL!) :D

Maybe LottoTech?

Yeah, cheesy. :-)
