EARTHQUAKE!

Thought a passenger jet had crashed! Just happened. Stuff bangin' around and house shaking. Several aftershocks.

Bella Vista, AR. We don't get that many, and this one was a real shaker for the area.

Whew! Time to buy a flashlight!

Looks like it was centered in Oklahoma - Thats an unusually strong quake for that part of the country! See here its the big square in the middle of the map - you can't miss it!

I think this thread needs to be moved into the proper section though - unless you actually do buy an 18650 light to commemorate the event

Link to story. Other news sites not yet reporting on it.

Yes...two have been ordered. A sipic recoil thrower, for when the lights go out. Also ordered a Cree Q5 zoomie, for when the sipic goes out!

When the Earth Quakes....it's a good night to go camping out, and not under a tree.

Then those flashlights come in handy. Maybe even the strobe and SOS modes.

Looks like a magnitude 5 at epicenter. It was the strongest I remember!

Those okies must have thought it was the second coming!

I need to give the house/property a going-over in the AM.

That was a strong earthquake here in Tulsa, Ok. It shook hard for 15 or 20 seconds, spooked me. Of course I am sure it is nothing compared to places where earthquakes are common.

Well, if Broken Arrow wasn't broken before, it might be now!

USGS updated to magnitude 5.6

The strongest ever for OK.

At least tornadoes and thunderstorms knock out power.

Why wait till morning? Break out a good light or three and light it up! Never let the opportunity to use a flashlight go to waste or as that NWO minion Rahm Emanuel would say "Never let a good crisis go to waste".

I have only experienced one real earthquake. I was under my car at the time. I thought the jack had slipped. Almost messed my pants.
