USB Wall Chargers

I had never thought about differences in cables and wall chargers until the thread on cables. That brings me to wondering if the wall chargers that Amazon provides with their Kindle tablets are second rate and can be appreciably improved upon with others. I don’t need a 5-6 port charger but a single or dual is enough.
Any recommendations re USB wall chargers better than Amazon?

If a single is enough, the Samsung and Verizon rapid chargers are both good in my experience. Anker and Aukey are both popular brands on Amazon for this sort of thing too, they usually come with QC2.0/3.0 ports now.

Not sure of which USB chargers are the best,but I’d invest in a USB current/voltage detector—I have the Xtar version—seems to work well to me—that way you can identify for yourself which charger is doing what

Anker and Aukey are the best imo.

Agreed that Anker makes quality products and RAVPower is good too. We have a RAVPower charging station that has been charging 4 cell phones every night for the last 2 years with no problems.

I seriously doubt that Amazon would handicap their own devices by supplying them with inferior chargers. Still, it would be interesting to know if you’re able to achieve quicker charges with an aftermarket charger.

BTW, Amazon owns Anker.

I take that back. I can’t find any data confirming that Amazon owns Anker, although that is what I read a while ago.

In any case, Anker makes good products, and their customer service is great. I’ve got many of their power packs, cables, flashlights, and a bt speaker.

Their power packs utilize Sanyo/Panasonic cells.

Many USB chargers are pretty bad, not to mention a security hazard.

Anker and BlitzWolf are pretty good and my personal favorites.
(Original Apple and Samsung are also good, but a bit pricey.)
