No track record. MTE has spelled "crap" to me in the past.

Beware.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

The only MTE that i owned was a single AA with a ssc p4.....it started flickering right out of the package.  No matter what i did it would still flicker.  That one light by MTE just left a bad taste in my mouth, i was kind of aggravated.  Dont get me wrong im not saying that all the lights are bad but when you pay 25 bones you would as least get one that works properly even after you clean and lube the contacts.  I have seen his vids and he does test the lights that he sells, which for me is a good thing.

MTE is not in the same class as Romisen for overall quality, in my experience. Second tier at best, but much better than "Small Sun", et al.

Few budget Chinese brands are completely consistent, therefore, it's our job to pick out the good models from all of the brands on offer.

Completely off topic, I'd like to see Jay pay a visit to this forum. Without his ground breaking work on CPF we budget light users would have been consigned to a backwater thread on a forum that is ultimately focused on making money for its corporate administration and nothing else.

Sorry Sharon/ Chardonnay, I've sussed you out, and your baying lapdogs.;)Wink " />

I purchased an MTE M32 on e-bay from gregmcgeeengineering.com ( http://www.mte-usa.com/) and had it in Florida in 3 days. The light is 5-mode, runs on 2 rcr123, quality was very good without any defects, everything worked as advertized and is one of my favorite flashlights.
I'm very satisfied with the purchase, in which got the light, battery charger and 4 rcr123's for $58, including Priority USPS. He seems to stand by his products.

OTOH, He desperately needs help with those videos.

PS  Most complaints I've read concerning MTE are from DX purchases.    As far as quality goes, I have an MG l-MIni and the quality is at the same level.

He has 2 models, the M4-2 and M3-2I, single and dual 18650.

I was hoping the M2 (adjustable focus) would be available in a 18560 platform instead of 3 AAA cartridge, although it might be possible to fit a 18500 in there.

Now i just need to send him an email to see if the 18650 lights have a low voltage warning.

I usually do on imports from the US. The limit is £18 in any one package. Postage is included for import duty/VAT purposes. It cost me about £2.40 on VAT and £8 clearance charge by the PO on a $49 dollar (shipping included) light. The postage got included in the VAT bill. Just mean I call it.

The numbers from my light tests are always to be found here.

Hi guys sorry for the late reply, torch arrived last week and at first i was a bit disappointed it's not the bast made light in the world, everything fits and works ok but it just doesn't seem as solid. The material its made from is quite thin !! also the lens is only plastic which was a disappointment to be honest.

The light out put is pretty good as zoomed out it has a nice flood and zoomed right in its pretty bright  but it is a very tight spot so really not much use to be honest.

At the price it's not bad it came to £28 all together and thats shipped to the UK, but i prefer my Ultrafire RL-118 for it's superior build quality and it feels much nicer in the hand.

Beam shots to follow but there are some good pics on his website and also some decent video on you tube..
