aspheric side switch diving light

Great looking light! A shame it's a FryRay. I don't trust anything they make these days. :( Hopefully this particular light is better than the bigger ones and will change my opinion.

The smaller ones exhibit a Trustfire T2 design prompt.

I reeeally like that dive light, illuminated side clicky and probably a very even but not overly wide flood - but it seems kind of steep for a skyray?$$$?!

i really like skyrays styling lately .. but don't t hink thier lights are all that ..and a lil pricey from manfont always ..even at 4$ cheaper probably won't buy it from DX but do like the shape and style ...same thing wit the dive lights ...i think I like every dive light ever made ..it's the price that hurts ...ouch

That's nice But I just bought a Jetbeam BA10 $25.07 which I think will be better.

Assuming an 80cf tank, the typical experienced sports diver gets about 55 minutes of air at 30-45 foot depth during a relaxed non-strenuous dive. 1 x 18650 gives plenty of reserve to power an XM-L during that time. I like the dive light but would liked to have seen it equipped with a LOP reflector instead of aspherics. Reflectors are more efficient and deliver more light. You also typically dont want a lot of flood beam in a dive light. This one looks like all flood, which could work out in clear waters at close to medium ranges. Hopefully the driver delivers 2.8A or more because replacing it would be nearly impossible, given the electronic switch.

interesting insight on diving. The 'diving' aspect of this light is only attractive to me because I might drop it while fishing:) The illuminated button would make it easy to find in my boat at night...
