I was a participant in the group buy for the Cometa back in April 2016.
I even discovered one of its flaws when mine arrived:
After I realized the anodized disc was shorting to the negative solder joint on the emitter’s PCB, I installed a plastic washer.
I also put a plastic washer between the battery and driver.
The light is in great cosmetic condition. I used it for about an hour when I got it. It’s been in a drawer ever since.
This light works, but I believe it is best left to a modder with knowledge of the Cometa’s issues.
I strongly urge the buyer to disassemble and inspect the light after purchase.
