Need suggestions: on-board rechargeable, pocketable, EDC.

EDIT: removed and changed some criteria. The #1 criteria that must be kept is on-board rechargable.

Basically what the title says.

I need to make a recommendation for my department at work regarding flashlights.

Required:
On-board rechargeable
Pocketable size (my definition: typical 1x18650 tube light size or smaller)
Good quality

Preferred:
1x18650 battery
Pocket clip
Available on Amazon.com

Budget:
$30 or so. ~$50

So far I can only think of a couple, EagleEye X2R or Zanflare f1, but I’m sure there are more.

Olight has some nice magnetic rechargeable options but they are over budget.

Any others?

X2R… but I can’t find any on Amazon.
No pocket clip included but the A6 and Convoy’s work.
550lm so not overly bright that idiots will hurt themselves. No strobe so the idiots will be less annoying to others.

If your company needs to get like a dozen or so flashlights, you could try for a bulk discount. I’m thinking about Andrew & Amanda, because they already do nice discounts (instead of sticking with MSRP), and they also do “best offer” thingy. Maybe you can contact them and see what is possible?

I think you got a project ahead.
I tried searching “USB rechargeable flashlight” on Amazon. Nothing I would spend my money on for even more than $30. Gave up after page 17.
Did find this cool little Wuben USB 14500 for $16
WUBEN LED Flashlight,USB Rechargeable Torch Waterproof IPX-8 Torch Aluminum with Super Bright 260 Lumens CREE LEDs, 600mAh 14500Li-ion Battery for Camping and Hiking, Black

Out of Amazon you can find some, like on banggood, aliexpress or gearbest (Jetbeam EC-R26, On The Road M3 and M6)
Do they have to use 18650 batteries?

On Amazon:
Atactical A1S:

Zanflare F1:

Hope it helps :+1:

Not to nay-say……but the VG15S is not on-board charging if that “really” matters. Requires and comes with a charger that can use USB…but not IN the light.

Just for clarity. :+1:

That Atactical A1S reminded about those USB rechargeable 18650 batteries. I don’t own any, but I guess that could open a lot more options for lights without USB.

You’re right, my bad ! Lack of sleeping here! And good intentions :innocent:
Thank you for the correction!

Actually, neither is the Atactical…the battery it comes with, yes, but not the light itself… :person_facepalming: :person_facepalming: :person_facepalming:
I’ll just shut up my self!
Sorry for bad information sac02 :frowning:

R26 is very small for a rechargeable 18650, and fits nicely in a pocket. But the UI requiring a long press to turn on and off can be infuriating if you are not used to this kind of setup. But I understand it’s a safety thing.

Also, I think it may have been discontinued, but maybe you can find a good deal on it. I think I paid $27 a few months back.

Thanks for the comments so far. The three criteria of on-board rechargable, $30 budget, and Amazon really does make it hard it seems.

I don’t know if I could get any of the typical Chinese sites approved for purchases here at work, but I can ask what it would take. (fasttech, gearbest, banggood, aliexpress, etc)

If I removed the Amazon requirement, and bumped up the budget a bit, what other options would I have?

Trying to compensate yesterday’s mistakes…I hope I don’t commit any today
A search on AliExpress (the place where I normally buy lights and other things  )
Almost all are 18650 lights, so AA/Ni-MH/14500 or other types are not here.
Also, the roof was your updated price. I won’t post links so that you can take a look there and see for yourself the best price for each light!

Fenix RC11
Lumintop EDC25
Nitecore MH10 / MH12
Jetbeam EC-RS6 / KO-01
Manker E14II / MC11 (With 18650 rechargeable battery, instead the light)
Zanflare F1
Sunwayman C23C
Sofirn SP30A
Eagle Eye X2R / X5R (mentioned yesterday)
Imalent DM21T
Rofis TR20
Towild BC03

The cheaper are Sofirn, Eagle Eye, Zanflare and Jetbeam.
Hope this helps

BTW, Olights are there too and have 30-40$ prices, but the store where we can find them often disappears… :open_mouth:
