Hey guys some of my workers wants me to build a light for them and I need some help on what host to use ect… Looking for something compact that will throw far and something u can maybe buy a copper heatsink for ??
Not sure on the host, led,driver any help will be great thanks

Gotta ask because Compact and Throw Far kinda contradict.
Also building the light… I mean there are $20 C8 with XP-L HI that already exist for $20.
Copper spacer would indicate a triple or quad build? They are bright as HellO’ Dolly, but not 300M throwers by any means.
Something like the convoy l2 ? Only thing I would need better it’s keeping it cool, as for throw nothing like a lazer just something that goes the distance

Yup, my Convoy C8 with XP-L HI and FET could reach out further than my resistor modded L6. L6 ended up with a Fet+1 and SMO but sold it before I did another comparison.
Does it need a better heatsink ? I’ll be buying the parts from RMM
The newer C8’s RMM sells have an integrated shelf for the led to sit on and will be plenty to distribute the heat into the head quickly.
I can confirm that a C8 with an integrated shelf, XP-L HI, FET+7135 driver, bypassed tail spring, and a Samsung 30Q battery takes awhile to get hot.
