So my brother knew what i needed for Christmas to cheer me up… So he ordered & bought me this EDC pocket flashlight for Christmas…
(I had to literally freaking put sun-glasses on to take this photo in the living room… ( it’s LED readout screen reads the estimated lumens output on maximum turbo mode… ( yes its an Imalent DX80 pocket light.
Imalent DX80. 32000 Lumens. Eight XHP70-V2 emitters, Eight high-drain 18650 cell battery pack, its been tested to that level amazingly, and compared to my 15000 lumen custom O/L Monster triple MTG2, this thing is just brutal.
I have never, EVER… seen a light the size of a 600ml bottle of water, shove so many photons out the front as this thing does… its ludicrous. ( Here is a youtube video of it… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ynqJL9J4DQ
I tend to give family members old single 18650 lights that I got bored with. Sure, they’re all 1000 lumens+ and not rubbish but that is a different kettle of fish altogether.
Only if I trust them handling an 18650 light, the others get AA (A) lights.
My family does not do Christmas presents.
But my brother gave me a tin of biscuits for my retirement (and he is loaded).
In this forum we talk a lot about swapping emitters. How about a brother swap?
LOL,
When I saw the thread title I immediately wondered how in the world could the brother of DBSAR gift him an appropriate EDC.
It would be like giving Tiger Woods a set of golf clubs from Christmas :person_facepalming:
