I got a Thorfire VG15 last month as I heard good things and it’s been a terrific light but I notice it looks almost identical to the Convoy S2 which people here seem to buy a lot. Does anyone know if the internals are the same? From what I’ve read they have the same LED but not sure about driver. It would be nice to have both and do a side to side comparison. The VG15 has some cooling fins which is the only real difference I can spot. May have to order one to see for myself 
Ummm, not really. In fact, not at all.
Maybe a Jaxman E2 could pass for an S2+ lookalike, but not the VG15.
But even so, tubelights all kind of have the same shape (a tube, I know, I know…), so there are just variations on a theme.
Ah those are good photos thanks. I Realized I meant the S8 Woops, would you say the performance is similar between the two? I see they all use the same LED emmiter.
Thorfire VG15 was originally Sofirn SF31.
Ah I knew I saw it somewhere before, I guess each company makes their own slightly different version of the same light like the C8
