Just came across this model earlier today and can find nothing about it at all
the reviews are for the earlier models this one looks brand new with Limited branded on the side and being 11000 Lumens as opposed to the 2017 version which is 10000 Lumens
can any one give any info or point me to some reviews if possible
Not a new model, they just changed the LEDs to XHP70.2. It should perform exactly the same with a small output bump.
The downside is XHP70.2 produces a yellow corona around the hotspot which is annoying to some people.
the info section says xhp-70B Not knowing a lot about the Leds presumably that is the 70.2 version then ?
70B is the order code, 70.2 is the emitter model name. It’s the same
I’m interested in purchasing this light and was wondering if the only battery option is to use ThruNite batteries as shown on their website? Or can I use Samsung 35e or Panasonic batteries? Or any other brand for that matter. Thanks.
For sure. I have an older model tn36ut, and i am using lg mj1 button top… it have low voltage protection, and the red dot indictar will came on when the voltage are around 3.7v…
If you are not sure, just buy 4 protected 18650…
Thrunite Direct on Amazon has a discounted price on this model. Probably because it was overpriced and the stock was not moving. I have owned all 3 versions and can attest the Limited with CREE XHP70.2 blows away the older versions. There is no more donut shadow, the tint is pure snow white, simply amazing.
The only thing I didn’t like about the Limited is the new UI. It seems like they used the driver from the Neutron single 18650 model and this driver doesn’t handle the current as well? The stepless seems choppy. Could be my imagination and/or being too picky. Try it out. If you don’t like it you can return it through Amazon.
