  • looking at the disassembly picture, it might be good
  • non-anodized threads, not perfect but OK for the price
  • unspecified LED
  • 600 lumen. Not perfect. I wonder it would make sense for you do drive the LED 25% higher…
  • I find your marketing sickening. “The key to saving lives”? Seriously? Cut that nonsense.

sovereignknight, that used to be true but Sofirn changed it… a C8 with a side switch and a triple emitter set up with a reflector instead of an optic makes for a unique new C8, and with some 3000 lumens straight out of the box on a supplied cell no less, a pleasant new C8 was introduced.

This one might should be printed in paisley for all the claims and the relatively lackluster performance quoted…

Thanks for your question. After you turn off the lights, if you want to turn on the light again, it can only be turned on by deep pressing the switch.

Stephanie, I appreciate what you are trying to do. Although not part of the above offering, I am impressed with the STCT Rechargeable Headlamp with Red Light that I purchased from Amazon during a recent Lightening Deal. I like the small form factor and the easy (double-click) access to the red light. It seems well thought out and engineered. So far it functions flawlessly, has great performance, and is imminently portable.

I am generally not a fan of rechargeable flashlights that preclude battery access and replacement, but this may be a rare exception - primarily because of the price point. Although marketed for kids, it is not just a kid's toy IMHO. A case in point is that the headband is expandable to fit the largest adult male head. Since I am on the road a lot, I keep it in a permanently-packed dop kit that is always ready to go. I am seriously considering buying more as gifts. Is there any chance this particular headlamp will appear in a future Lightening Deal? Thanks!
