Harbor Freight Gordon 15 LED Flashlight

Hey guys, Do you have ant input on this light? I bought last one on shelf. I do not want to open unless I plan on keeping it. But before that I need info of quality, etc… Otherwise, I will return it. Please advise. Thanks.

Edit. Dead on arrival right out of package. Back to Harbor Freight it goes. Piece of JUNK.

usually the fail is a joint between a steel spring and a steel plate…. the old 9-LED $1 lights had like a dozen of these connections, something was always open-ckt or intermittent,.,. look for them – steel->steel connection points and wiggle them. or shake the light around, knock on a table (i mean if you are taking it back as DOA anyway, what can it hurt?)

but anyway, yeah, POS, as i and others said Smile

Ha Ha, you are right man. POS JUNKER. Light decided to work when I returned to HF. After NOT working at all last night when I needed it to. Regardless, not taking any chances. Got refund just to play it safe.

I pounded light around last night. Did not work at all. My fault for buying cheaply made light. I only bought it due to color and being defensive tool if needed.

I’m curious, why two identical threads on this?

"Over 2000000 hours (about 200 years) standby time"  (DQG Tiny 4th)

"27,157 results for zoomable flashlight" (ebay)

I might have hit post 1 more than expected. Light is back at Harbor Freight. Lesson learned I guess.

Only light to buy at HF is the Bauer, I don’t even bother with the free lights anymore, cheaper to buy a SK58 clone on ebay which only needs one battery.

Still a bit dim

Good maybe if you already have one of their 20V power tools, since the light does not include the battery pack ($20) or the charger.

My son got this for me for my b-day (back in march) and so far I have no complaints. It’s actually a pretty good mechanics light. The 18650 cell it comes with I’m sure is junk but works fine for now and can be easily replaced once it goes bad.

That’s an interesting work light, thanks for sharing! I like the magnetic tail and that it can use 18560, plus the USB charge and flashlight option, does it fold flat? Shows 0 to 180 degrees in the description but they only show it folded to 90 degrees.

I’ll have to check it out next time I’m in, and also watch for it to come on sale.

$18 would be nice. I found it in my latest mailer a coupon for $19.99, checked a few previous flyers all $19.99.

It only folds to 90 degrees to relation to the handle and has a full 180 sweep. It’s a toolbox light and not something you gonna fold up and put in your pocket.

For $20 it aint bad but don’t pay more. Personally they could have left the “flashlight” feature off I don’t see me ever using it. Just something they used to fluff the included features list on the package. I need a focused beam under the hood I use my s2+ I always have in my pocket.

hf now sells the x700 clone too.
good to see mainstream stuff dragging 18650 into the public eye.
