Can anyone tell which emitter this is?

The back story is, twice now I’ve order the Zebralight H603d which is supposed to have the XM-L2 easywhite 5000k emitter in it.

The H604d (newer model), is supposed to come with a XHP-50.2

ZL keeps shipping a H603d with what looks like to me to be an XHP-50 in it. The kicker is, ZL doesn’t have an H model with a XHP-50. Only XHP-35 and the 50.2. They have a few SC600 models with the XHP-50, but not headlamps.

What’s your thoughts?

It looks like a XM-L2 Easywhite emitter, just what it is supposed to be?

CREE MK-R?

Thats easy, its a XHP50
The 50.2 does not have the distinct quad-pie separations in the die.

Here is a pic I borrowed from member ‘steel_1024’
left is xhp50._ 50.2 is on right

That’s what it looks like to me too.

It’s an XM-L2 Easywhite. The product page has a decent photo of one. It’s a quad-die, 6-volt emitter superficially similar to the XHP50, but it can’t handle as much current.

The XHP50 looks very similar at a glance, but the edges of the package are white, not silver, and it doesn’t have a + mark like the XM-L2 Easywhite does.

I stand corrected, you’re right it does look like easywhite xm-l2

I learn something new ever day. From the product page it does look like a Easywhite XM-L2 just like it suppose to be.
I had never seen one of these until today.

Thank you. I guess I’ve never seen one either. I have another one, but it’s behind the frosted glass in the Fd.
I wonder if Cree renamed the MK-R to the XM-L2 easywhite. It does look identical, and doesn’t look like any XM-L2 i’ve ever seen

The first H603d I had, only two of the 4 diodes were lighting up. This one they are pretty even

Thanks all for your help.

^ ^ what he said ^ ^ :student:

The MK-R is bigger, XHP70 size.

Yep, that’s an XM-L2 EW.

What does the beam look like? The H600Fd Mk3 is one of my favorites and uses the same emitter with a frosted glass lens.

I have the H600Fd III as well. The Fd is a thrower compared to this… lol… Basically, if you stand in one place and spread your arms out straight on each side of your body, thats the beam profile. Even and smooth. ZL says 120º, but it seems like more. My camera isn’t wide angle enough to capture edge to edge beam. The reflector, or what ever you call it, is glow in the dark material.

Nice color temp and seem to represent color well just like the Fd.

Not a lot of green coming out yet this spring

I should have known better than to bet against you Djozz with a emitter question. :stuck_out_tongue:
Really, I had thought you were joking when you posted that. :person_facepalming:

I admit that I thought it was a MK-R, had to look it up and found it was a XM-L2 Easywhite after all :innocent:

Just noticed your post count
What you got planed for your 12,000 post count.
That’s quite impressive, just imagine how many keystrokes that took in each post then multiply that times 12,000 :open_mouth:

I ignored the 10,000 and no one noticed :stuck_out_tongue:
Now that I’m busted I will give a nice modded light away at 12,000

Wow. A djozz special 12,000 Lumen flashlight. I’m in. :+1:

That sounds good to me. New BLF giveaway rules, one lumen per a post.
