TA is preparing to modify my L6 with a new XHP 70.2 5000k LED, driver and spring bypass. The modified light will be able to produce 8500 lumens. It is in otherwise new condition with an OP reflector. But a need for capital has arisen so I am offering it for sale. If you are interested in other mods like a dedomed LED or custom mode groups or firmware setting those can be added for just $5 each.

8500 lumens is direct from TA himself. The mod is not complete but I suspect he would be willing to use his sphere to confirm the spec once he finishes.
I have my L2 sent to TA for modding too. I can’t decide on whether to shave the dome or not and buy a SMO reflector to replace the OP reflector for ultimate throw. But I’m not sure how the tint will look after shaving the dome. Does anyone have such a setup that can comment on the throw or tint? Otherwise a domed 70.2 with 8500 lumens would be a great all purpose light. Given the size, heat fins, and 2x26650 batteries, it should be able to maintain high output pretty well and have great run time.
I decided against shaving the dome. Rather have the option to do it later after playing with it bit, I have a SMO reflector (not included with this sale) to play with if I end up keeping it. I won’t be too disappointed if it does not sell.
