Current on charger vs. current on built in charging circuit

Hi, another of my charger and battery related questions

What is the relation between current delivered at the socket plug (for example phone charger delivering 2 Amps) and USB connected battery charger delivering 1 amp max? Can the actual charger be damaged by the higher current at the USB plug? What if the power source can provide max 0,5 Amp, but battery charger output is 1 Amp per slot?

I would also like to know, can one damage the built in charging if this is plugged into a higher amp source? For example flashlight has built in magnetic charger delivering 1 Amp, but the USB source delivers 2 Amps.

Hope my questions are clear

No it won’t damage the charger, the amp rating on an adapter refers to the output capability, but the actual current draw is decided by the device being charged.

Just like having a high discharge battery won’t cause any damage to a low consumption device.
