How to operate the light? (Anduril UI by Toykeeper)

PL47 uses free software distributed under the terms of the GNU Public License version 3

This might be the first light I’ve seen where that style of clip is appropriate. It allows the head of the light to stick up out of a pocket, or above a strap as shown in the picture.

Fireflies, you might want to add a link to the PL47’s page at your store, to help people find it.

That looks really nice!

Great job FireFlies

That turned out nice! Lots of options and I’m glad they took the advice about the clip. Nice touch!

Excellent job FireFlies :+1:

Wow :open_mouth: Anduril inside? Nice!
Seems to be a very nice light!

will we see the coupon for blf members anytime soon? have two of the PL47s in your store basket wiating to be purchased…

Wow, this is much smaller than I was expecting for a 21700 light!

a 21700 is awesome. I have one without a home. Ready to purchase this; deciding on a color but I like the black look.

Have you seen the headband that is available to buy as an extra? It’s a lot of headband for just a few bucks; looks like it could support a 2x26650 headtorch! Make it happen Jack, I’ve got a big forehead, I can take it!

Toykeeper, I received the ROT66 XP-L HI with Anduril and I like how the ramp stop at the maximum regulated level. Is the PL-47 setup that way too and do you know about how many lumens at top of ramp? I like easy access to a max sustainable level for practical use. Thanks.

Lumens are in the first post. Unless you meant at the default ramp stop.

You guys strapping 5000 to your forehead are nuts.

I’m much more sensible at 2500

I will buy, look excellent

Ran out of flashlight money this month buying the D4S maybe later…

Looks very interesting! I like seeing more manufacturers adopting the awesome UI created by forum members! :+1:

I just noticed, does the light also have leds under the button?

maybe overlooked-this support probably only unprotected lions right?

You can configure the ramp however you like.

The default config goes above the highest regulated level, because the driver is a FET+3 design. The +3 part only goes up to about 400 lumens, which makes for a pretty low ceiling. But for easy access, you can still loosen/tighten the tailcap to return to that level, or I think the default stepped ramp will have a level which hits that exactly. It should be step 5 of 7.

Why not all black, or all champagne? You show an all black light. I don’t get it

Is a 219c version in the works? It’d like a high cri version too, but worth more lumens than the 219b provides.

how many available?

@leaftye, the SST-20 version is more efficient than the 219B version while still providing excellent color reproduction in the red color range.

It’s also a bit less efficient than a 219C, which is worth it for the better R9 rating of 80, compared to 50 for the 219C.

If I understand correctly, the supply of 219B emitters is running low, so it’s less a matter of whether there will be a 219C version and more a matter of how long the 219B supply will last.
