I just bought a used Quantum D2 and I am looking to purchase a few extra QTC pads. Mine looks fairly worn and the light does not look close to 120 lumens when twisted tight. Not much luck doing a google search.
Yeah, I just did a search too and literally found nothing. Not even an old closed sale or defunct listing on eBay or AliExpress. What about taking the QTC out and making it a single (highest) mode light?
I just tried that and it did not work. It must need the pad to make contact with the battery.

What about dropping a small magnet or piece of metal in there to fill the gap? Anyway, I actually might have a pill or two of QTC in my basement shop. I could look for it tomorrow, if you really need/want one. I’m just thinking you might end up with the same problem again in the future anyway. It is a known defect of QTC that it wears out too quickly, so not good for long term reliability.
Better putting it at the negative end of the cell in twisty lights to avoid torsional stresses.

I put a tiny piece of tin foil under the QTC and now it is twice as bright. If you still have your spare QTC I would like to buy it from you just as a backup. I don’t plan to use this as a keychain light, because I have several other 10180 flashlights in my collection. I would like to thank you and everyone else in Budget Light Forum that helped me in these past two years.
I believe the maker is on facebook in the flashlight fanatics group. I see him post up from time to time.
He returns his messages quickly that I have sent him.
This is an awesome little light I loved mine, I wish the maker would produce it again!

I saw these, slightly different material but awaiting stock.
I think 3Tronics has a couple of pieces too, again, not cheap.
