Sofirn Q8 or this?

I’ve got a BLF Q8 but I might be of help. It all depends on what features you want.

Sofirn Q8: cooler emitters, larger size and weight, tripod/strap mount, longer battery life (The BLF version has the warmest emitters)
SP36: slightly warmer emitters, smaller size and weight, no tripod mount, USB charging, less battery life

Side by side, they work the same, have very similar output and are solidly built. If it’s around the house primarily that you’ll use it, go for the Q8. If you want to carry it in a decently-sized jacket pocket, go for the SP36. Either way, it’s a heck of a lot of flashlight for the money.

Hope that helps.

Does Sofirn manufacture for Utorch? This is a really good practical light as tested by Djozz. I’m hoping there will be a Hi CRI version with the SST-20 later.

Yes, Sofirn has also produced the Utorch C8F which actually is the Sofirn C8F with another branding.

There's a survey initiated by Sofirn to gather information about the demand for alternative versions of their lights, see ► here ◄.

They do for two of their lights, the C8F 21700 and this SP36. No telling where Utorch gets their other models from.

From Sofirns BLF signiture:

Quote:
Sofirn is owned by a factory, contact us for any lights you wanna make or contact to be a dealer.

Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights

Hello!! Just registered) Tell me please !! Is there any difference between “Sofirn BLF SP36” ( like on Aliexpress official store) and this subject UTORCH SP36. Or no difference? And group buy still actual?)

The Sofirn C8F and the Utorch C8F were the same (from what I recall) so I’d guess that these are too.

I’ve been using my Sofirn SP36 for the last couple nights and I really like it. Powerful and easier to carry than a Q8. The price is right too in this group buy.

Got my Sofirn SP36 today, also bought the Utorch and wish I had bought 2. Pretty impressive for under $50. Code only works once.

When are FL expected to ship? The website says end of january, is that accurate? I ordered 12/12 and have not received any shipping notification.

Nice size, but no tripod socket or lanyard attachment?
