Can I make a Convoy s2+ have two modes - 100% and Bicycle mode?

I just got a Biscotti driver and it’s fun, but I really need a two-mode light. What are my options?

I use the lights for bicycle headlights for winter cycling. I normally use the 3-mode S2+ and I always have them on 100% mode. So now I have the biscotti set to 100% only which is what I need. But I would like to try a two mode with 100% and Bicycle. I use two headlights and I would like to flip one to Bicycle mode every once in a while.

Set one to 100% only mode then set the other one to a mode set with the bike mode in it. Turn on memory and then select bike mode on the second one and turn it off. Bike mode will be memorized and will come on in bike mode when you turn it back on.

I think Simon programs them, so maybe you can do it yourself with some modded code…

An H17F driver can do that, but I don’t think it easily swaps into the S2+.

It does fit nicely into the S3, a better light in my opinion.

Can you solder??

Is modifying either Biscotti or gchart’s Babka firmware (based on Biscotti) an option?

I haven’t tried it, but it looks like compiling a version with different mode groups would be fairly straightforward.

What about setting it to 1-mode (100%) and that’s it? Going backwards from there (medium-press) should take you to the weirdo modes like strobe/battcheck/bikemode, no?

Granted, it won’t be a strict 2-mode light (100% and bike), but it’d work, no?

I don’t think biscotti goes backwards with medium press. BLF A6 does if I remember right.

That’s Bistro, I think. Biscotti can’t do backwards mode changing.

Huh… ain’t that a kick in the head. Got the state-machine pic, yeh, it’s for bistro, but it’s named ‘biscotti.jpg’.

Oh, the confusion…

Lightbringer , you are forgiven  I wasn’t sure myself.
