Ok, my friend has asked me to get a Weapon Light (for a rifle) for his son, to use at Air Soft tournaments. His requirements are Single Mode only, Super Bright, 1 x 18650 Battery & Decent Pressure Pad. This is what I’ve considered so far:
Surefire WML. He didn’t specify a cost limit, and those are the only ones I have and use. Seriously I wish I knew cheaper option for Air Soft. I saw the Olight Warrior with a pressure switch, I do not know who would use it as a real weapon light that has real world experience shooting people, so maybe it would be good for Air Soft.
My son used to do airsoft and the big problem with weapon lights was they kept getting their lenses shot out. Whatever you pick should probably be something you can tear down and swap lenses without tools.
Thats a solid point jf_smm makes about the lenses getting shot out, I hadn’t thought of that. Maybe I should circle back to the Solarforce L2 with a dropin. They might not be cutting edge technology anymore, but there easy to breakdown and repair.
Question: Does anyone know if the Solarforce 830 Lumen XP-L V6 Module has (LVP) Low Voltage Protection. ?
As for the lens getting shot, wouldn’t a TIR optic be more resistant? If you’re already looking at a Convoy, how about a tight-beam S2+? (Not sure if it accepts a pressure switch like the C8 though…)
I just saw this Sofirn on Aliexpress. Sofirn C05 Tactical LED Flashlight Weapon Light. Looks interesting, but I can’t seem to find any reviews on it. Does anyone have any experience with this flashlight? …. Thanks
