Lightweight 1AAA multi-mode LED flashlight?

Hi,

I'm looking for a lightweight 1AAA keychain LED flashlight. I have a Mr. Lite 1AAA, but it weighs about 17g w/o battery.

I have an ITP A3 upgrade, and found it to be quite less weight: about 9g w/o battery (not including keychain).

Besides ITP A3, is there another lightweight 1AAA multi-mode LED flashlight out there that weighs around 9g (or less)? (cost around $15...)

Perhaps an ITP A3 clone?

Thx.

I dont know the weight, but this may be a candidate, despite it has no clip

The Thrunite Ti is $16, has two modes, and is very light for keychain duty.

I bought the wifey a green one, an she likes it better than the $40 options.

I plan on picking up one for myself, now. Nice little light.

It’s probably going to be hard to find something else as light as the A3. I have the Thrunite as well (and like it) but it is definitely heavier than the A3.

the itp is one of the smallest. (only DQG Tiny is smaller)

and it's made of aluminum. (and aluminum is lighter than titanium and stainless steel).

and it's reasonably priced. not too expensive.

nothing beats it.

the olight i3 is about the same.

LuminTop WORM II ;)

How much does the Worm II weigh (w/o battery & any attached accessory)? Which place would have a good price?

Amazingly the ITP A3's price is still standing near its regular price range 2 years ago. I guess there isn't a challenger yet... . The Olight i3 is actually even a bit heavier than A3 due to the longer end.

About ~9g. I'm thinking on buying one myself. 2 modes - LO and HI, no mem, XP-E R2, deadly flat regulation (best I have seen), slightly bigger than A3 but twice runtime on LO. Well, I actually prefer this one over the A3, just because it's 2 modes. I think those LOs on A3 and other 3mode lights are too low for my liking. Worm II modes are like Med and Hi on A3. You can get it for 20 bucks from HKE for example, maybe you can find it cheaper on eBay.

I've collected some related data here:

Lumintop Worm SS / Brinyte BR-S2 / UltraFire SA-R2

The weight measurements are not mine; i will provide a "detailed" review of my own at some later point. I am informed that Lumintop has recently updated the LED emitter of the worm to XP-E R3 and perfectly white tint (1A0 tint bin). Anyone interested in purchasing the Worm (Aluminum version!) these days should contact the manufacturer (1 quick email!), confirm the given data/info, and ask which place carries the latest Worm hardware revisions. I have both the SS and the Aluminum versions and am extremely pleased with them. The length difference to the iTP A3 is not of concern or interest; most 1x AAA twisties are in the 71-72mm range -- the iTP A3 is a grand exception to this rule. The Worm still feels small, and the Aluminum version is as light as my Titanium A3. The Worm is very high quality machining and built, with FREE lifetime hassle-free guarantee. If it dies or you wreck it, you get a free replacement from the manufacturer!!

I have the Klarus MiX6 on order and also the Tank E09. Once i got them all i will able to do a comparative quick review. The E09 and A3 both officially support 10440's/Protected 10440's -- that's my primary interest in them.

How to run Protected 10440's in the A3? I've mentioned it here:

How to run Protected 10440's in iTP A3

Hey, kreisler, good job, man ;) I don't have Worm yet (but I want one badly :P or Olight I3/A3 :| ) and I found those specs on i-net. And thanks for that info, when I'll decide on buying one, I'll email them for sure. (and yes, I think XP-Es are better for such small lights, XP-G for I2/A2 at least)

i was able to tailstand both the iTP A3 Ti and somewhat easier: the Klarus Mix6! The Klarus can tailstand on perfectly flat and plane surfaces, e.g. on a marble windowsill. The following picture is a 1:1 RL scan on the slippery glass of my PC flat bed scanner:

The Klarus was affordable with the 5$ off oneworldweshare on DD (total paid: 32.39$; no Dinopoint, no GC used). The other two torches are the old versions of the Lumintop Worm.
